how do i advertise my hotel business to travelers coming to my city? besides the internet.?
I want to set contracts with tour buses and traveling vans? can any one help me please. my hotel is one of the best in a small town called Bakersfield. located in California. is hard to have travelers, stay because theirs no sight seeing. but is a pass way to local casinos and passing on your way to Las Vegas. can any one help me i want to make business.with travel agency’s. please help me.I’m starting to do sales for my hotel.and i don’t know were to start. please help me.
why would anyone stay in your hotel? you have people staying there, now, so i assume you know why those people chose your hotel. if there is a common reason among many of your current guests then you have a place to start. who else stays at hotels in your area and why? you need to identify ALL of your potential customers and then you can target them.
i looked on the map and and saw something on wikipedia about your city and was surprised at the size. you have a pretty big sized area so if your hotel is nice enough family and friends hosting events in town could recommend you for their visitors. maybe try to partner up with local restaurants, barbershops, stores, organizations, so you can refer business to each other and post flyers and hand out cards, etc. are there local businesses nearby who fly in corporate guests? perhaps if there was a big road race or 1/2 marathon or marathon in bakersfield you could sponsor it so they could mention on all race materials that your hotel is near the start line and has discount for racers. any events you know about? athletic events? festivals? concerts? college/university graduations-events? could you hosts an event in your hotel ballroom like amateur boxing tournament? what i’m basically saying is strengthen your ties to the community so you know what’s going on. sponsor one of the town’s little league teams, join a local business association, try to improve on yourself as a person and think about being part of something bigger than yourself and making your world a better place even if you don’t directly benefit from it. one good feature that area seems to have is that you could theoretically attract people from the bay area to the north or LA to the south to an evening event in the area and people may not want to drive home late at night…
are you near I-5? people on the highway looking for a hotel will probably look on their smartphones or nav system or onstar so make sure your info is in the right databases. maybe AAA and other organizations could list you. find a way to attract highway traffic.
